Founded in 2007, Brooklyn Rugby Football Club is the only rugby union club representing the borough of Brooklyn in New York.

Consisting of men's and women's teams, fifteen and seven-a-side, we compete in the Empire GU and are a member of USA Rugby.

We are always on the lookout for new talent, and welcome players of all skill levels and experience.

Brooklyn Rugby 7s 2014 Schedule Announced

2013 was a successful season for Brooklyn Rugby's 7s team, seeing us pick up the Empire 7s Series Cup at Village Lion's Hell Gates 7s, and the plate at Danbury's Tri-State 7s. We're looking forward to capitalizing and improving on those successes in 2014.

With that in mind, we're excited to confirm our appearance at the following tournaments:

Women win Gohring Tournament; Men unbeaten in spring league season

We're only three weeks into the spring season and already we're seeing some great results across all teams.

First up, Brooklyn Women took the cup at Hofstra's Gohring Tournament on Saturday April 7th. The women made a clean sweep at the event, beating Molloy 43 - 0 then Fordham 66-0 to get to the final. The final, against Hofstra, ended with a final score of 29 - 12.

The tournament win sets up the women very nicely as they look ahead to the Empire GU D2 playoffs, taking place at the start of May.

The Men's 1st XV continued the club's successes through the following weekend, beating Bayonne 21 - 17. This made it 3 wins out of 3 games in their spring league season, following wins over...


Brooklyn Rugby to launch Division 4 team

Brooklyn Rugby is excited to announce our decision to enter a men's side into the Empire GU's D4 South to compliment our D3 South men's side. 

What does this mean? Most importantly, we want to grow the club and entering a D4 side means we will now be able to guarantee regular game time to our 2nd XV. Furthermore, the D4 side will also be a way of providing instruction and competition to more club members: old boys, those new to the game, those too busy to attend training, those returning from injury, those who only want to play socially, to name a few.

To play in D4, all you need to do is be CIPP'd, let our coaches know your intent and show up on Saturdays ready to play. Although...
